Within the frame of Polish-Italian research, Nicole Dołowy-Rybińska and Claudia Soria are preparing a report concerning linguistic diversity in both countries, the frame of legal protection, and the ideological basis of recognition of different language varieties. They will verify Polish and Italian people's consciousness about linguistic diversity through the online questionnaire survey in both countries. The researchers will test a hypothesis that the lack of recognition of some language varieties results in their neglect and consequently diminish their further chances for legal protection, support and recognition.
